Key Design Features
A new road serving the village will bypass Pump Lane, making it a less attractive route for rat-running and reducing traffic past existing houses.
A ‘village feel’ development with a village green in the middle of the site, next to the existing village of Lower Rainham.
Allow the existing properties to retain their current identity by keeping the new development at a sufficient distance.
New local shopping and leisure areas.
An extra care facility and care home close to the new shops and services.
Two play areas along the bridleway and main footpaths close to the residential areas.
A new footpath to Lower Twydall Lane, a footpath/ cycleway connecting the loop road near the school and a public access countryside walk around the perimeter of the site.
