The plans in brief

The proposals are for a residential development which will provide an attractive place to live, with its own sense of place, while still retaining much of the rural character of the local area.

The plans include 1,250 homes, along with generous landscaped areas, open space and other community benefits to provide suitable facilities for new and surrounding residents. Along with new housing this development will open up more green space for local people to use and enjoy.

It is proposed that at the heart of the development there will be a village green that will integrate with existing pedestrian routes.

These routes will lead to further green spaces and children’s play areas; providing residents a network of accessible routes throughout the site.

A new primary school with playing fields is planned for the space at the rear of the existing houses on Lower Rainham Road.

Access to the development will be from Lower Rainham Road and Pump Lane.

More information will be available on this website and at our public exhibition sessions on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 July.
